What is Insights?

Insights is the dashboard layer of Sherpa, an AI platform for AWS. It shows cost, security and inventory for every connected AWS account, from the executive summary down to the single resource. Cost comes from the company's AWS Cost and Usage Data, rebuilt nightly, in four views (unblended, amortized, net amortized and net unblended), with a monthly ledger of recommended versus realised savings and a Savings Plans analyzer. Security shows readiness against CIS 3.0 and SOC 2 controls, paths from low-privilege identities to admin, and resources reachable from the internet; it measures readiness, not certification, and scans run on the 1st and 14th of each month. Inventory is scanned daily for owners, tags, drift and end-of-life versions.

The business problem

Why do teams need Insights?

THE CHALLENGE

The bill grows

Nobody can say exactly why, or who owns the spend.

→
TODAY

A tool per question

A cost tool can't see risk. A scanner can't see cost.

→
THE WORK

Hand reconciliation

Engineers line the two up in a spreadsheet.

→
WHAT LEADERS GET

Two answers

Finance and security each bring their own number.
